IN GROUP SESSIONS

At the beginning of the group sessions, we will have a creative warm-up with Sanni Orasmaa from SoundByNature. Sanni is a lecturer of jazz vocals in the University of Munich. Her work draws from the desire to explore the role of the human voice in connection to the natural environment. The descendant of folk singers and fiddlers, she has been heard in productions throughout the global jazz scene. Sanni specifies in Nature Oriented Voice and Performance Training at her company SoundByNature and is one of the first trained Green Care specialists in Finland.

GROUP SESSION 1: ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY IN TOURISM

In this group session, we will hear, among other things, the following cases and discuss the best practices on environmental sustainability in tourism:

  • Biowaste gathering in Lapland
  • Developing ‘domestic’ and ‘neighbourly’ Arctic tourism
  • Everyman rights and tourism
  • How to combine environmental sustainability and sled dog businesses?

GROUP SESSION 2: CULTURAL SUSTAINABILITY IN TOURISM

In this group session, we will hear, among other things, the following cases and discuss the best practices on cultural sustainability in tourism:

  • Culturally sensitive tourism in the Arctic
  • New culturally sensitive tourism products
  • Digital experiences for a sustainable tourism
  • Responsibility Communication

GROUP SESSION 3: LOCAL COMMUNITIES, NEWCOMERS
AND BEHAVIOR IN NATURE

In this group session, we will hear, among other things, the following cases and discuss the best practices social sustainability in tourism:

  • Outdoor etiquette and responsible hiking
  • Sámi tourism
  • Community Engagement
  • How tour companies are inspiring tourists to do right?
