Harvests from Bioenergy Projects 9/11/2021

Welcome to the international bioenergy webinar on 9th of November!

The aim of the webinar is to present a selection of the latest results from bioenergy related research and development projects; it is a harvesting time of bioenergy projects! In the webinar we hear experiences from different bioenergy cases, e.g., using biogas or pyrolysis for heating purposes. We also get an introduction of a Biogas tool – a free software for calculating biogas production potential and feasibility (now available also in English and in Swedish!). In addition, cascade use of wood bark and good practices in storing the wood chips are presented.

Tietoisku: Päivitä vähähiilisten hankintojen osaamisesi 3/11/2021

Hiertääkö hankintojen toteuttaminen, tuovatko hankintojen vähähiilisyyskriteerit harmaita hiuksia? Tule mukaan tietoiskuun kestävistä julkisista hankinnoista. Tilaisuus on tarkoitettu erityisesti oman toimen ohella hankintoja tekeville kuntasektorin toimijoille. Aamupäivän tilaisuudessa kuullaan ja keskustellaan energian, liikkumispalveluiden sekä elintarvikkeiden hankinnoista ja miten huomioida hankinnoissa vihreän siirtymän tavoitteet. Nyt on oiva mahdollisuus tulla keskustelemaan ja kyselemään askarruttavista kohdista.

Mukana sparraamassa hankinta-asioiden kanssa Keijo Tuisku, Tornion kaupungin hankintapäällikkö, sekä tietoiskut Hanselilta (Pasi Tainio), Motivalta (Taneli Varis) sekä Merja Aholalta Sodankylästä. Tervetuloa kuulolle ja keskustelemaan 3.11.2021 klo 9.00–12.00!

Vihreän talouden mahdollisuudet kaavoituksessa 1/11/2021

Lapin AMK ja GRUDE – Green Rural Economy -hanke järjestävät marraskuun alussa webinaarin, jossa kuullaan esimerkkejä ja keskustellaan vihreän talouden hyvistä käytänteistä sekä yhteisöllisyyden merkityksestä kaavoittamisessa.

Webinaarissa kuullaan, millaisia kaavoitushankkeita suomalaisissa kunnissa ja kaupungeissa on meneillään, mikä tarjoaa uusia näkökulmia ja ideoita oman kunnan kaavoitushankkeisiin. Tilaisuus on suunnattu erityisesti kuntapäättäjille ja kaavoitusten parissa työskenteleville, mutta kaikki aiheesta kiinnostuneet ovat tervetulleita tapahtumaan!

Sustainable Blue Economy – Greennovation Camp 26/10/2021

Greennovation Camps are international innovation and green economy focused online conferences that bring together local government officials, researchers, students, entrepreneurs, etc.

The theme for our fifth Greennovation Camp on 26 October is: Sustainable Blue Economy 🐳
The European Commission defines blue economy as “All economic activities related to oceans, seas and coasts. It covers a wide range of interlinked established and emerging sectors”. Thus, the blue economy is linking economic exploitation of the ocean, as well as inland waters to sustainable and environmental ecosystem. It involves many industries such as oil and gas, fisheries, aquaculture, shipping, coastal tourism, offshore wind power, seabed minerals and marine biotechnology. Further, sustainable development must include cross-sectional cooperation, as public sector, county councils and municipalities are key players in realizing sustainable development and the sustainability goals.

How can private and public sector stakeholders achieve together the UN Sustainable Development Goal 14 which calls on the world to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources? How can we develop the blue economy in a sustainable way for the future?

European Rural Entrepreneurship Voices Forum 22/9/2021

In addition to interesting keynotes and comments from rural entrepreneurs, the Forum will include thematic workshops for envisioning what the rural areas will look like in 2040 in terms of organic production, smart farming, circular economy, rural tourism, food chains, and peripheral opportunities.

The Forum is organized by the Rural Future (the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development EAFRD). Partners from across Europe have been invited to carry out the thematic workshops. GRUDE is in charge of the circular economy workshop – we hope to meet you there!

Sustainable Tourism Certificates 9/6/2021

The aim of the webinar is to increase knowledge about different sustainable tourism certificates and programs, as well as their use in Sweden, Norway and Finland. The purpose is to strengthen cross-border networking and co-operation with different stakeholder groups and to Influence and inspire the attitude about sustainable tourism and green economy.

Digitalt studiebesök “Vi är planeten” på Norrbottens museum 24/5/2021

I utställningen ”Vi är planeten” på Norrbottens museum finns flera exempel på hur människor, företag och organisationer har löst olika hållbarhetsproblem. Vi hoppas kunna inspirera dig för att vi tillsammans ska skapa en hållbar framtid. Ingen kan göra allt, men alla kan göra något.

Projektledare för utställningen “Vi är planeten”, José Antonio Gordillo Martorell, guidar oss i utställningen.Denna visning har ett extra fokus på globalt mål 8 och cirkulär ekonomi och tar ca 1h 30 min. Visningen är interaktiv och kommer involvera dig som deltagare i vissa delmoment.

IN GROUP SESSIONS

At the beginning of the group sessions, we will have a creative warm-up with Sanni Orasmaa from SoundByNature. Sanni is a lecturer of jazz vocals in the University of Munich. Her work draws from the desire to explore the role of the human voice in connection to the natural environment. The descendant of folk singers and fiddlers, she has been heard in productions throughout the global jazz scene. Sanni specifies in Nature Oriented Voice and Performance Training at her company SoundByNature and is one of the first trained Green Care specialists in Finland.

GROUP SESSION 1: ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY IN TOURISM

In this group session, we will hear, among other things, the following cases and discuss the best practices on environmental sustainability in tourism:

Inspiration återbruk Arjeplog 29/4/2021

Kom och låt dig inspireras av olika aktiviteter vi kan göra inom kommunen gällande återbruk – i stort och smått!

Resurseffektivitet, cirkulär ekonomi och ett mer hållbart liv är på allas läppar. Regeringen har nyligen släppt sin nationella handlingsplan för cirkulär ekonomi och det är även ett prioriterat område inom de kommande EU-programmen samt hos Regionen – detta gör att det kommer finnas medel att söka för den som vill driva projekt relaterat till detta!

Du är välkommen till detta möte vare sig du håller på med återbruk på hobbynivå eller om du planerar en helt ny verksamhet eller om du bara är nyfiken på vad återbruk och cirkulär ekonomi är och kan vara.Vår förhoppning är att du ska möta andra som också vill starta något i Arjeplog och att du ska få nya idéer kring vad som är möjligt.
